"Right across from a National Rail station, and the Edinburgh Tram and busses as well, which makes a huge difference for anyone visiting Edinburgh car-free. The 24 hour lobby lounge is a great place to decompress after a busy day out. The breakfast buffet at the pub next door has a full Scottish breakfast (which is like a Full English breakfast, but don’t say that out loud). The hotel was under some minor renovations when I was there, but the room was spacious, with plenty of power plugs (not always a thing in UK hotels) and remarkably quiet at night.
The neighbourhood felt safe, clean-enough (for a busy old city full of tourists) and full of options for dining and shopping for daily essentials."
