Tulloch Castle Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Paul was amazing, we got in 15minutes before dining room closed and he took us straight there to get food before officially checking in. Steven was are server and excellent, always a smile and had story to tell us about the hotel and some of the history, he took us in some of the rooms that have haunting history to them. Rodney had a lot of history to tell us with some ghost stories in between, along with dungeon and dining room areas usually for large gatherings. The history was fantastic. Tulloch was by far the best hotel we were at on the 11 day trip."

"Very comfortable bed and fabulous shower! Lovely welcome gift and very spacious room. Bar food was very good…the battered fish and chips were light and crispy! On the negative side, when going to the bedrooms you have to walk through the bar…the outer edges of it but still not nice having people pass rolling suitcases when having a bite to eat or a drink. Strange lay out."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Cambeth guest house. The owner met us upon arrival to show us to our room, one of 10 in the house. The detail in the property is second to none. It has all the charm an older house has to offer and very well upgraded to meet any ones standard. At first impressions you get a sense of how well the property is taken care of and it gives a sense of being at home. The detail in the decor is beautiful. The bed was comfortable, their were robes available for use and the washroom was very well updated with a nice rain shower, There were snacks, water, coffee and tea available in the room. She also had a local tourist map in the room which was a great help, Upon leaving the house the owner has provided umbrellas for use for the short walk to the downtown. I found the house very quiet and there is lots of parking for guests on sight. I would definitely recommend this guest house."

"Arrived late and luckily there was a staff member just leaving that phoned for us to save us the phone call (we only had a data phone plan). They had left our key in our unlocked room. Took a minute to find it under the coffee cup but then it was all good from there. Loved the street and area. So walkable. Great live music in the pubs."
