"It's a charming rather quirky hotel with dark panelling and tartan carpets in places. It is very comfortable though the bed was hard and slanted to the right. Breakfast is ok but could be larger portions. It is 5 minutes walk from a fantastic beach and it is also dog-friendly. I would book again."

A spa bath with shower over the bath. 2 basins. This was a great hotel. The restaurant below (not associated with the Hotel as such, was also excellent."

"We booked here for it's easy drive to Dumfries House. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant and bar are nice informal and relaxing areas. Our weather was poor, so we couldn't take advantage of the great looking garden area. The room was small but adequate with a nicely refurbished ensuite. Pretty much as we expected for a 3 star small hotel /inn really."

"It was magical the hotel was done up superbly for Christmas warm and cozy with all the trimmings. The grounds were beautiful and all lite up at night simply stunning even got a kiss under the kissing tree :) and to top it off breakfast was superb!
