"On arrival lights didn’t work. Moved to another room next day, couldn’t fault it, view of Jefferson Memorial (as requested) higher floor & fizz, cake & hand made chocolates left in room. "This hotel has been the best we have stayed in so far during our US trip. The lovely staff member upgraded our room complimentary upon hearing we were celebrating our honeymoon. The room was huge - more like an apartment. The dining was incredible - we loved all our meals and the lovely wait staff. "One of the most relaxing and memorable stays I’ve had in years. Swann House is every bit as charming as I remembered from 20 years ago. The owners are so warm and welcoming, and Christine, the Inn Keeper, is not only a gracious host but also a great cook—breakfast each morning was a real treat. The house is located in a lovely neighborhood, and just a short walk to Dupont Circle station, which made it easy to get around without needing a ride service.
