Pool, by the sea, sea view

The house has a stunning exterior in which you can find many corners where to enjoy your stay: there is the pool area overlooking the ocean: there is a lounge where to read a book, close to the pool; the BBQ area; there are a lot of flowers and trees in the park; and there is the terrace, a marvellous balcony facing the Mediterranea sea ! You won’t ever forget it ! Inside, the house, new and clean, shows 2 double bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a big living with a fully equipped kitchen. The beach is almost 400 meters away.

Electricity is included up to a consumption of kWh 150 per week. Any excess will be charged € 0.40 per kWh.

Nous avons passé une semaine exceptionnelle. La vue de la maison est époustouflante. L’environnement de la maison est très calme. La maison est agréable et bien située. Nous avons pu visiter divers villes et sites très facilement de la maison. La climatisation et la piscine sont vraiment un plus non négligeable. De plus le propriétaire de la maison est charmant et très disponible.Nous recommandons vraiment cette location.

Tolles grosses Ferienhaus mit wunderschönem Meerblick

Wir (2 Familien, 4 Erw., 3 Jugendl.) waren in den ersten beiden Oktober-Wochen 2024 in Custonaci. Das Haus liegt in einer Siedlung mit vielen Ferienhäusern nahe am Strand von Custonaci. In dieser Jahreszeit sind nicht mehr viele der Häuser bewohnt und es ist in Custonaci selbst nicht mehr sehr viel los. Es gibt aber gute offene Restaurants (z.B. La Lampara di Cornino). Der Strand von Custonaci bzw. Cornino ist mind. in dieser Jahreszeit nicht der schönste. Aber es gibt in ca. 30-45 Autominuten Entfernung sehr schöne Strände (z.B. Calette Santa Margherita). Das Haus haben wir wie online beschrieben angetroffen, in gutem Zustand und sauber. Es ist gut ausgestattet und bietet viel Platz. Die Terrasse ist top und bietet einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Meer, die Umgebung und Erice (inkl. Sonnenuntergang). Auch der Pool ist sehr gut und wird jeden zweiten Tag vom Eigentümer gewartet. Es sind viele Liegen im Garten vorhanden. Ein plötzlich aufgetauchtes sanitäres Problem hat der Eigentümer sofort beheben lassen. In der Umgebung gibt es einiges zu entdecken. Die Anreise mit der Bahn aus der Schweiz bis Palermo (ab da Mietwagen) ist lange, hat aber gut geklappt. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Custonaci und empfehlen dieses Haus und die Vermieter gerne weiter.

Beautiful scenery of Sicily

Great surrounding with the mountains in the back and the ocean/beach in the front of the property. Walking distance to "Grotta Mangiapane" and the beach. Specious house with great pool and outside area including a barbecue, lovely garden, lemon tree and outdoor shower. The view is stunning and you can even watch the sunset on the roof terrace of the house. The owner was very helpful in that moment, where we didn't have water and he found a solution to fix it right away. Although his english speaking skills were poor we found a way to comunicate ;) Beware that there is extra charge for using more electricity than written in their description and for checking in after 10pm.

Superb views, quiet location, well specified

Mama Silvia is a lovely, if somewhat quirky, villa in the village of Cornino near Custonaci. The Villa sits at the back of a group of Villas at the north end of the village about 400 mtrs from the beach and about 1km from the village centre. Although there are other villas between it and the sea you get a superb view of the sea and surrounding area , the view from the Veranda and Pool area is definitely a highlight of this villa as the views are stunning. The villa is laid out as if it were two, two bedroom apartments with a kitchen/diner/lounge area, two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor and then the same in the basement. We didn’t use the kitchen in the basement other than to use its dishwasher (as there isn’t one on the ground floor). Another slightly strange layout feature is that the washing machine is in the ground floor bathroom. The quality of internal fitments was good although the kitchen was a little dated, it was well specified with gas oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave and toaster. There was a good selection of pots and pans although we could have done with a few more large drinking classes and cups. The swimming pool is lovely, a really good size and cleaned regularly. There is a good selection of loungers and umbrellas around the pool. There is an external shower and separate toilet area next to the pool. Note that air conditioning is only available in the communal lounge, kitchen, diner. There are only fans in the bedrooms. There are 2 veranda areas, one at the front and one at the back. The large veranda at the back of the villa has a large dining table, a bench swing and other separate seating and table. The view over the ocean, the hill village of Erice and Mount Cofano is magnificent. There is also a separate area with a granite built pizza oven and barbeque, which was great for al-fresco cooking and dining. This area also has its own separate shower and toilet. Service from the owner and their agent was general very good although a change of towels and bedding at the end of the first week of our 2 week stay had to be chased (2 days late). Beware that within the price you have an allowance of 150Kwh of electricity per week which we were told by the agent would be “more than enough”. We didn’t think we had used a lot of electric but were over our allowance at the end of the 2 weeks by €36. Not a big thing but you need to be aware and budget for this.. I would highly recommend this villa.
