"Property was fine. The biggest challenge was sharing parking lot with water sports company. If you came back and there was no place to park, they did nothing to accommodate."

"Although we believe some details around the property, pool, and landscaping could be improved, our overall stay was relaxing and enjoyable. Clean and nicely decorated rooms, lovely beach and pools, and mostly quiet location. The games in the upstairs lobby area need updated- the pieces are missing from most! Also loved the complementary morning coffee…just wished it would start closer to 6:30am rather than 7am."

"The property is a lovely, quiet destination where you can relax and enjoy beautiful scenery. This is a a nature-lover’s delight as you can marvel at waterfront sunrise/sunsets, bird watch, fish, and cruise around on your kayaks (and that’s just at the property — Kitty Hawk beach is an easy 30 ride away). The renovations throughout and ample room sizes makes this an excellent choice for families. My husband and I plan to buy a set of those Turkish Cotton towels! They were an added bonus after a nice shower!! Highly recommended!! We would visit again."

"The property was magical! Each bedroom having its own bathroom was just what we needed. We were 10 adults, three children and a baby. The beach was amazing. The pool and the hot tub were fun! The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. The owner was extremely responsive and very friendly! We would do it again in a heartbeat!"

"We had a great time here. The The house was beautiful and the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and all of my family loved it and had a great time. The furniture was very comfortable and two of the bedrooms had an adjacent bathroom equipped with a jetted bathtub which a few of us enjoyed. It was great having access to the beach through the gazebo and walkway attached to it. It was very private there and although there were other people on the beach it was by no means crowded and we had a vast area to ourselves. The pool was excellent and with the weather so nice we spent a lot of time at the ocean and in the swimming pool. The host was nice and was very responsive. We had a portion of a day where the electricity went out on the whole island and we contacted the host to see what was going on and she got back to us right away to let us know what was happening. We had a few other times where we had to contact her and she was always prompt and responsive. If you plan to come down make sure that you have a good 4 x 4 vehicle because you are driving a good six or 7 miles I think on the beach to get to the property. You generally have to drive about 15 to 25 miles an hour depending on the beach conditions so it can be a good 45 minutes to get to the home."

"Staff were efficient, friendly and professional. Check-in took less than a minute. Room was clean and the entire hotel was quite nice, however the shower floor and refrigerator shelves had perma-stains that were no big deal, just a little unsightly. Pool and workout room were both very nice and well maintained. Breakfast was about what anyplace offers: Juice, coffee, cereal & milk, and waffle batter. For the price it was definitely well worth it. Would recommend highly so long as your not looking for luxury."

"Great property, and the host is amazing. Very personable and quick to respond. We had a family of 20 stay with plenty of space for everyone. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again (and any other property owned by this host)."
