"Apartment was very nice in great central location walking distance to old town and lots of restaurants. The main shower did not work and we had to all use the ensuite to shower which was inconvenient and was only provided with one towel each for 9 days and the dryer was not operational so we could not do laundry. Also there is a camera in the front hallway monitoring the door of the apartment which made us a little uncomfortable but other that the apartment was nice and we enjoyed our stay"

"Comfortable, but a shortage of bed linen and then the hot water was very sporadic and just sometimes just a trickle! Also no cushions for sun beds!These things didn’t cause us too much trouble, but thought I’d better mention them Annette"

"Had a great time in Madeira. The condo had everything we needed. Cleaners came every two weeks. Location was great, close to shopping, promenade and restaurants. View of sunsets over the ocean were fantastic."

"The apartment was clean and in a very good position for getting around the island. It would have been helpful to have a few more details about the property e.g Wi-Fi code and the crockery and cutlery could have been a little more extensive . Nice undercover seating area where we were able to eat our meals and enjoy the lovely weather . The road is very steep !!"

"If I could give more that 5 stars I would, what a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful city, everything from start to finish was hassle free, the host was so good answering any questions I had but it’s the accommodation that needs more than 5 stars, the right location, everything you could need is here, I could not of wished for anything more, a truly fantastic place to stay and hopefully I will get the chance to head back soon"

"Schön hergerichtete Unterkunft mit herrlicher Dachterrasse (den ganzen Tag Sonne) und tollem Ausblick über Funchal bis hinunter in den Hafen. Ein Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert, da es ein ganzes Stück bergauf geht. Parkmöglichkeiten waren i.d.R. vor der Unterkunft gegeben (öffentlich/kein fester Stellplatz). Aufteilung gut (ein großes und ein kleineres Schlafzimmer). Wohnung ist etwas hellhörig. Die Küche befindet sich im Wintergarten der Terrasse. Gute Aufteilung. Würden wir wieder buchen."

"The location is probably the only thing that is worth mentioning. The building is very old and everything is the department is poorly maintained. There a a few restaurants right underneath and you will be bathed with cooking smells pretty much 24x7 (we were on the 6th floor and can’t imaging how much worse on lower floors). Parking is ridiculous and you need a lot of help from your friends to get in and out. "

"The apartment was just as shown on photographs, spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. It had everything we needed and more for a stress free holiday. Very comfortable (large) bed, adequate crockery and cutlery, superb power shower, even a very decent hairdryer 😊 Perfect location, 5 mins walk into old town and 5 mins in the opposite direction to Funchal main town, couple of roads are steep but not too challenging. Lots of restaurants within easy reach, daily market place and large Pingo Doce...

"Great centrally located hotel to stay in. You have everything one step outside your door. The staff were all helpful and nice. The restaurant right next to hotel has great food and the servers were all very nice"

"Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The place was very clean. It was great having access to all of the facilities of the park hotel next door. Location was perfect, closer to the “old town” Funchal than most of the hotels, about a 20 min walk to the center, but great area near a lot. Overall I felt very safe, only thing to note is that there is no one at the front desk between midnight and 7am, but you will need your key card to get into the building...
