We love the cosy corners along with open spaces that promote friendly conversation and family fun. The location along the river and the canal towpath is fabulous, and the proximity to downtown Cumberland is perfect. The house is always clean and well supplied, and the bedrooms are comfortable and welcoming. Thanks again.
Great house with lots of room in the common areas and porch for our group to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, and we also enjoyed the BBQ grill. Very clean throughout.
Absolutely beautiful and the hospitality was amazing also. Thank you for sharing the beautiful place with the world. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. Everything was perfect and cozy.

Beautiful location and comfy home. The house had a lot of spiderwebs but otherwise was clean. The AC was not very powerful so the house was pretty hot. We used the multiple box fans to cool off. The kitchen, cleaning supplies, bathrooms, towels, etc were well stocked. The washer/dryer worked well.
A truly nice and cozy house on a unique nature filled property. The house has all the amenities you could ask for and the hosts go above and beyond, assuring that you feel welcome and relaxed.
A beautifully redone farmhouse close to the many attractions around the area. So private even though you are very close to town. The hosts are very responsive and good to work with. Already planning another stay!
Was my 3rd timing staying at this property for work trips. Always clean, private and tranquil location. Safe and well situated to various things. Great owners and will definitely be back again.
As always, we loved sharing our Thanksgiving holiday with family at this lovely house and home. The location along the Potomac River and C&O Canal towpath is fabulous, so close to town yet our own little world. The space is perfect for a large gathering, plenty of room for tables for the meal and for games afterward. Thanks for everything.
The property is nicely located on the C & O trail. Biking distance to restaurants and Historical sites. The views are amazing
The house is just wonderful. The owens are great people.
We rented this property with some friends for a motorcycle event near by. The host was very friendly his wife even stocked up the kitchen with some sodas and snacks it was a unexpected surprise. The property was absolutely gorgeous it was nice to sit out on the back patio at night after a long day in the sun.
We again thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely and well maintained home along the river and the canal tow path. The wide open first floor area is perfect for our annual Thanksgiving family gathering, and the secluded location close to downtown Cumberland is ideal. The bedrooms are comfortable and the house is supplied with everything we need for our stay. We look forward to next year!
My friend and I enjoyed a nice girls weekend here. The house was really clean, organized, and cozy. Very nicely decorated. Snacks were a nice touch. The property is lovely. The view from the back porch is one you don’t see often. The property is so lovely and well cared for. Easy access to lovely walking paths. We were glad that there were no campers on the property while we were there. Would stay here again.
Thank you for sharing your home. Such a hidden gem in the Cumberland area. Loved the location as it was a nice little country stay outside of the city. Hosts were as friendly and kind as can be. We had a rehearsal dinner there with success and they all loved the place. I would definitely recommend this property to all and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much once again!!!
We were there for a wedding and rented the property for several family members to stay. The house was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We unfortunately, didn't have time to really enjoy the area but it was close to Cumberland and a few minutes from the West Virginia line. Would love to go again to explore the area. The owners Don and Diane were great. Diane made us a delicious apple cake and called to check in to make sure everything was going well. Would definaiely recommend this VRBO rental.

Check in was a little confusing. We did not know if the owner would be present when we arrived. Once I arrived, some of the others were already there, and were checked in by the owner. The property was as described, very clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and the surrounding area was very pleasant and well maintained. Kitchen area was modern and easy to use. Overall, it was a perfect location for our reunion. My only comments are that while we were there, I was unable to contact the owner by telephone; the land line would ring and then I would get sounds like the phone was left off the hook. The cell phone number went to voice mail and I got a message that the phone had not been set up to receive messages. I also was not able to access the WiFi as indicated.Aside from those minor issues, our experience there was very pleasant, and we would recommend it to others who might be visiting the area.
Three of my friends and myself had the pleasure to stay at this beautiful house and property on our track and yak adventure. There is not one thing I could think of that would have made our two night stay more perfect. The kitchen was beautiful and was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals- plus the host supplied surprise snacks and goodies! Each bedroom had beautiful quilts and nice comfortable sheets. Main bedroom had private full bathroom,- the other four bedrooms shared 2 Jack and Jill full bathrooms.it would be the perfect house for a large group of people. The property is private and has many trails to explore. FIVE STARS FOR SURE! The hosts went above and beyond to make this property a beautiful retreat.
We really enjoyed the location as we came to the area to do some scenic driving and Cumberland is a central spot. When we checked in the host just happened to be there but did not realize our reservation started that day, it worked out but had they not been there it could have been a problem as I never got check in instructions on the app. We were only there in the evenings and enjoyed hanging out on the back porch. Just to note, the campsites are around the house so there isn't privacy and you can hear and see the campers. We didn't mind but I could see that bothering others. If you don't want to be around other people though this place isn't for you as the towpath is frequented and it goes right by the house. I didn't know about the path before we got there and it was my favorite part!
Our daughter plays lacrosse for FSU so was unable to come home for her birthday which fell the day before Easter. We were looking for a home we could rent that we could cook meals in and visit with our daughter yet give our 13 year old something to do. My parents ended up coming as well. It was wonderful! The house was well stocked and we were able to cook a full Easter dinner that we all enjoyed and give my daughter that home cooked meal she misses. It was also large enough to accommodate family in the area to come and hang with us a little bit and visit. We never found or saw the pond pictured in the photos but the canal was right there. The wifi is slow but that is the area in general and with all the fun we were having we didn't need it anyway. The grounds were nicely kept and the house was so clean and inviting. The owners even baked cookies for us and had them there for our arrival! Loved it!
It was a tranquil beautiful stay. The property was well kept and vast. The owner and his wife were very welcoming. My family and I look forward to staying again.
Well equipped kitchen. Everything was beautiful could have used some extra dusting and cobweb cleaning. Pictures on listing could use some up dating. It was a beautiful home well decorated for the holidays. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend full of laughter and time with our family.
