"Just home from my second stay here. Happy cheerful Reception Staff welcoming you and upon leaving thanking us for staying and hoping everything was okay for us. We were down from Shetland for a hospital appointment for my husband. This stay was without incident for him and he got discharged the day of Day Surgery, so we only stayed one night before going home. First stay was with incident!!, his lung collapsed after having a lung biopsy to identify a suspect growth, which is cancerous. The night before he was due to be discharged, his whole lung collapsed, they didn't have time to take him to theatre, 12 different medics decended to his bedside, where they had to put a chest drain into his lung. After it was done, they phoned to tell me!! J...s C!!, to say I got a shock and a half!
Everyone was so kind asking for him and asking if I needed anything. He should have been discharged on the Friday, but was only finally discharged on the Monday!! Worst weekend of my life!!
He now will have to have Radiotherapy, but not sure when, but we'll be back."
