I was initially dubious at what I would find as it was competitively priced but the Inn, the room and the breakfast were all really nice. Parking is an issue as there is no car park but on street parking was available in a well lit area."

"Cara was very organized and phoned in advance to check the number of beds to be made up for our stay and also sent some details of local pubs and restaurants nearby, so we could arrange an evening meal. The room was much bigger than expected, with a very comfortable king size bed, and a sofa-bed in the room for additional guests. The kitchenette had a small fridge with juice, water and fresh milk, and a choice of cereal was provided. There was tea and coffee as well as a kettle and toaster....

"Lovely little pub B&B. Room was amazing. Very big with separate living room and kitchenette. Staff very friendly and helpful (allowed us an early check in to get ready for a wedding). Breakfast was lovely. Can’t actually fault the place, would definitely use again. "

"From the moment we arrived at the White Cottage we were made to feel warmly welcomed by Donna and Steve who turned out to be excellent hosts. We were shown around the property by Steve and then taken to our room. Our room was clean and comfortable with a large en suite including separate bath and shower. The room had tea and coffee, fresh bottled water and biscuits, plentiful towels and bathroom products. Breakfast was an ample choice of cereals, with fresh fruit, yoghurts and fruit juice...

The facilities were great and the listing doesn’t do it justice, all of us who stayed had nothing but positive things to say about the accommodation which was thoughtfully decorated throughout. It was a shame the weather wasn’t on our side the whole time so we could make use of the great outdoor space however we were so lucky with the inside space that it didn’t affect the weekend. "Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that took the edge off a perfect break. The shower in the en-suite bedroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we couldn’t use it which meant that nine of us had to use the one other shower! The French door/window in the lounge was difficult to open & close and the rain came in at the bottom right side and the carpet got wet and we couldn’t open the bi fold doors in the dining area. The cutlery wasn’t very clean so we had to wash it all...

The village boasts a bakery, inviting pubs, and the fantastic Clipper restaurant, ensuring there's never a shortage of delicious dining options. Additionally, the short walk to Teignmouth provided ample opportunities to explore the pier, browse quaint shops, indulge in cozy cafes, and even take a scenic ferry back to Shaldon, making it a truly memorable and picturesque...
