"Loved the location and beach. The onsite restaurant was great and reasonable. The rooms were amazing with ocean view. You felt secure as there were gates to get into property.they were renovating pool area so we did not use but the beach was perfect. I would recommend and hope to come back. Only negative is that they charge for the gym and shuttle into town. Its only a 5-7 min walk. "

"The hotel was absolutely beautiful! The amenities were great. We enjoyed a breakfast by the beach every morning and it was delicious! The beach bar was open everyday by 9 and the staff were very accommodating with rental cars, parking, activities, etc! Our room was super clean every day! Best stay in St Martin!!"

"We stayed at the sister resort (Flamingo Beach) in January and Royal Palm this past week. We really liked both resorts for a lot of the same reasons — very large, clean, comfortable units, walking distance to stores, restaurants and bars, etc., nice beach and pool and fully equipped kitchen. The grounds at both resorts are very well maintained and bothhad very friendly and helpful staffs. This is a timeshare resort, so they don’t clean your room during your stay but they were happy to provide extra towels, dish detergent, laundry detergent etc., any time we asked. Royal Palm felt a little bit more like a hotel since you go through the lobby and past the front desk every time you enter the building whereas, at Flamingo, the only time you go to the lobby is to check in and check out. One slight downside of the Royal Palm is that the units in the east wing are a little noisy at night because the bar across the street plays loud music at night. However, you can only hear it in the secondary bedroom and not in the master bedroom. "

"Very nice hotel and beach area. Clean rooms, good shower/bathroom - not cramped like some places; numerous dining options, friendly helpful front desk. Only complaint was the gym was as good as a golds, planet fitness, etc quality & equipment but had employee come up next to me and tap his watch- I didn’t know what he was doing & was informed it closes at 8p- what a disappointment to find out! Anyway, its awesome place- and at night from balcony saw a large fish w a dorsal fin - shark or dolphin maybe, swimming along the rock ledge along the hotel property for about 5-10 min just cruising around & occasionally making a splash- very cool to see that so close to shore. Would definitely go to Simpson Bay again. "
