This is listed as an English speaking host which is not accurate. We struggled to communicate. The place is advertised with a pool but this was out of bounds due to the drought, we understand this but we should have known before arrival. We had no hot water at all during our stay and we could not contact the host despite messaging and ringing the door...

"We had a fabulous holiday at Mas de la Rivière. The house is spacious and well-equipped and the private and partially shady terrace with its beautiful trees and wisteria-covered outdoor dining space was a godsend on the hottest of days. "Lovely sized property with a great amount of amenities. There was a group of 9 friends and we all had a incredible time here. Pool was great, place was clean and tidy when we arrived. Really decent number of games available etc. The neighbour was absolutely amazing. Its very remote, so youll need a car or be prepared to spend a lot on taxis to get anywhere but personally our group had both. "We had a wonderful week in this property which was hidden away amongst fruit fields and had gorgeous views of the Pyrenees. Jean was very welcoming and the air-conditioning was the best we've ever had, keeping the villa cool throughout. The pool was fabulous and a variety of seating areas around the grounds meant you could always find some shade. It was very peaceful and the quick access to the main route to the Pyrenees and Perpignan made it easy to explore the beautiful area. This stay...
