"Daughter & I stayed 4 nights as a base to visit Nolin Lake & Mammoth Cave NP away from the tourist crowds. MCNP is 45 minutes away on scenic, rural roads. Best thing about this rental: access to the neighborhood boat ramp with adjacent swimming area, a 5 minute walk away or you can drive & park there. The bottom is sandy/rocky, not muck. This saved our visit to the area, booked before I learned that the public beaches on Nolin Lake & most of NLSP are closed due to spring flooding, expected to be closed for the season. We enjoyed floating in the lake & enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets there. Our host was responsive the few times we messaged. The cottage had everything we needed - used the firepit & kitchen to make a few meals. The AC was needed & appreciated. Nice seating area outside. Cottage is in a wooded neighborhood of cottages & RVs & situated for outdoor views. Neighbors were very friendly. Would recommend. Good for groups, families, little ones, people w mobility issues. Other than a few steps to the door, the cottage is all one level & you can park close to the door. "

"Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. Its layout met our family’s needs. It was clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked with the essentials. The property hosts were responsive, accommodating and kind. They made us feel at home and even checked in on us half way through our visit to make sure everything was going well. We did not use the jacuzzi or fire pit because it was too hot outside, however it was well kept and looked like a fun area to hang out. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again! "

"This was glamping at its best! Yes, of course the (very well-appointed) bathroom is outside of the property …otherwise it would be listed as a cabin.:-P And yes, it’s unfortunate the ferry is currently closed, but that’s hardly the property owners’ fault—we enjoyed a pleasant, scenic drive to the Mammoth Cave Visitor’s Center each morning. But for these small inconveniences, we were treated with visits from a chicken, dinners cooked over the fire (including complementary s'mores) and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We recommend this property to all potential glampers! "

"Fantastic property! Super clean and had everything we needed. This was the perfect quiet spot to get away with my sister and our husbands. We enjoyed a day kayaking and a day at Mammoth Cave. I can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the property. We will be back!!"
