Fantastic beaches are nearby and it is only a short drive to the Calanais Standing Stones. A great base to explore the Isle of Lewis."

Great location too - tranquil and peaceful but easy to access the island and all it has to offer from the property. Hosts were warm, friendly and very welcoming - and checked in to make sure we we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend! "

"Doune Braes is very close to the Callanish standing stones, which makes it a super convenient location if the stones are on your itinerary! Everyone working at Doune Braes was extremely kind and helpful and the food (I had dinner and breakfast) was delicious. It is not a fancy accommodation, but the rooms are clean, spacious, and safe. Highly recommended if you are visiting Lewis and want to see the Callanish stones, particularly at sunrise or sunset!"
