"This is an absolute gem of a hotel set in a stunning location. Peace, quiet, tranquility, incredible views, beautiful grounds. Our balcony room overlooking the shore was spacious and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is superb with vegetarians, vegans and dietary allergies all fully catered for. Highly recommended and we look forward to staying again."

"Tarbert is such a sweet little town. The castle ruins were magical. The hotel itself - very convenient, easy parking, incredibly nice and very hardworking staff. The meals were SUPERB! The room was in good condition. The bed was a bit on the soft and saggy side. Great view though over the water. Hallways are clearly under ongoing repairs. The dinner dining area is quite nice. Breakfast area could use a refresh (especially that first booth seat). Overall, the Anchor Hotel was a great 2 night stop off for us. Thus has been a magical trip overall and the Anchor Hotel was a delightful find along the way!"
