"Very pleasant and comfortable. A popular pub — food on tap all day from 7,30 am — seems to be the local business-women’s venue for breakfast conferences! Staff very pleasant and helpful. Central: just a short walk to most tourist attractions, and a clutch of restaurants if you want to branch out. Despite the location, I had two very good nights’ sleeps: it’s not a riotous city centre as far as I could see. No lift, but I managed the stairs, and they took my bags up and down for me. Definitely...

"A lovely hotel. Very clean throughout. The room was spacious and modern with a decent shower and quality toiletries. The bed was big and comfortable. I appreciated the extra towels provided. The bar area was comfy and drinks reasonably priced. The grounds were nice, with good outside seating. The breakfast buffet was varied and tasty. The only very small downside was that the room was very hot, even with windows open. That said, we would happily stay there again. "

"cheap and not so cheerful. In desperate need of a tidy up - room was cold as the radiator in the bedroom didn't work - had to leave the bathroom door open to get some heat from that one. Chef was too busy and declared the kitchen closed on my arrival - earlier than advertised. I did feel a bit sorry for him as he was the only senior person working and seemed to be doing most of the work himself."
