The Poppy, Fantastic Elk Ave Location!!!

Summary:

Adorable 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath duplex on the quiet end of Elk Ave.



The Space:

Beautiful townhouse on Elk Ave near the end of town (towards Mt. Crested Butte). Unbelievable views of Mt. Crested Butte. Just a few blocks to downtown and to the free bus up to the ski resort. Hiking, mountain biking, and cross country trails start within 1/2 block. Small but luxurious with many modern amenities, including wood floors and ceiling, in-floor heating, granite topped counters, beautiful front yard and porch, new appliances, gas fireplace and more. Wood floors just installed in the bedrooms. This is a place to come back to in years to come as more amenities are added.



2 bedrooms, 2.5 bath. 1 queen bed, 1 king bed. Large Living/Kitchen/Dining Room upstairs, bedrooms are downstairs. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower. The living room upstairs has a queen sleeper sofa and a powder room. The house does have wifi.



The free shuttle stops nearby at the Four Way Stop in town which is only 2 1/2 blocks to the house.



All of our kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, cookware and utensils. While most properties have salt, pepper, and basic cooking pantry items, we do not guarantee these will be available upon arrival.



The minimum age for all persons in this property is 25 years, excepting children (of all ages) with their parent or legal guardian.

Please note that we do count all children and infants in the headcount for the property.



This property is not pet friendly.

The Poppy is Awesome!

We love this property and the proximity to the town of CB. It is very homey, enables us to cook meals in if desired, has a nice hang out area and two very comfortable bedroom/bathrooms. We have stayed here several times and it is perfect!

Great Trip

Host was great. Even made sure the walkway and off-street parking were shoveled after a heavy snow. House was warm and cozy. Would stay again.

Cozy CB historic home. It was extremely cold during thus week and we were happy there was a gas fireplace that really kept us warm. The beds were comfy and the location was great !Thanks

Perfect Get Away Location in Crested Butte

We loved staying at The Poppy. It is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of town in walking distance to shops, restaurants, the grocery store and the town bus! It has a nice kitchen for staying in and cooking meals. And the common area is cozy for relaxing and hanging out. Property Management is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this property!

Perfect Mountain Retreat

This property could not have been located in a more perfect area! Even the drive in was beautiful — the home has a gorgeous view of the mountains in nearly all directions, parking was made simple, and it had everything we needed for our weekend away. It was only a 2-block walk to the nearest bus stop for heading to Mount Crested Butte for skiing, and about the same distance into the heart of town where there was a wide variety of options for food, drink and entertainment. Check-in was simple, communication from the hosts was great, and we were very satisfied with our stay! Would definitely book here again.

Wonderful CB house with views & walking to shuttle

This house is wonderful! Clean, bright, with beautiful views of the mountains and three blocks to the shuttle. We had two couples which was perfect for the two bedrooms w/ ensuites downstairs and shared upstairs area. The kitchen had everything we need, and the home is obviously well cared for. Only note would be to bring a sound machine or earplugs; sound travels easily throughout the whole house. Would stay again!

Great house - short walk to town and ski shuttle

Great house within short walk of town and ski shuttle. House is well appointed and in very good condition, it had everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend this property and would be top of my list if I return to Crested Butte.

Great property!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The kitchen had everything we needed, and the house was really clean. The king bed was lumpy, but otherwise, the house was really comfy. We didn't think our large SUV would fit in the parking space, but it did, which made things extra convenient! I would recommend bringing a metal shovel in the winter though (they had a plastic one) because when the city plowed the street on the morning of our departure, they left a big pile of snow blocking us in the driveway. The snow was heavy and without a metal shovel to dig ourselves out, we would have been stuck. The property management company did send someone to remove the snow from the walkways and the driveway the day before, so I'm guessing we left earlier than he was scheduled to come back the next day. No biggie, we just thought it was good info others to know. We would definitely stay here again! :)

Great place, 5 star, but….

We Would have provided a 5 star rating, but the bed (master) was broken down/ uncomfortable. We have come to expect more comfortable beds at this price point. Never had to point this out for any other rentals in past. That said, the rest of the place was really, really nice.

Perfect winter getaway

Very clean home. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Location was in close proximity to restaurants and shops. Also, a short distance to bus stop to take you to the mountain.

Adorable Place Right Near the Main Street!

Loved our stay here! Worked great for our group of 4. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. Just a short walk from the shops and restaurants on Elk Ave.

Everything we needed!

This property was everything you need, and nothing you don't. Well laid out with lots of helpful info. in a binder from the host. We loved that both bathrooms had tubs for soaking sore muscles after skiing. The kitchen was well equipped and we made several dinners there during our stay. The property management company kept our walk shoveled for us the entire stay. We own a beach house and rent it out, so from one rental owner to another, this house was well done! I would say to bring your own pillows if you are particular about that. We would gladly stay at this location again. While my boys skied, I walked just a couple short blocks into town and shopped and ate. Very conveniently located to the town of Crested Butte shops, restaurants, grocery store, etc.

Cozy place with Beautiful Views

Great location, close to restaurants and the bus stop to mount crested butte. The kitchen was well stocked! Nice beds! Overall comfortable, adorable space. Beautiful views.

Wonderful Stay

This property was a lifesaver for us as we had booked with another management company that canceled on us without notice prior to our vacation. We were able to book, pay and stay with them in 1 day. The house was wonderful and in a great location, walking distance to all in town. Thanks!

Cute House

Great location and place. Loved the living room/ kitchen upstairs, it’s completely open and comfortable for people to hang out and relax after a day on the mountain! I would upgrade the tv and get rid of the cable. That is the only thing I can think of for improvement. TV’s are not deal breakers, but I like the option

Comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood.

4 ski pals enjoyed this rental very much. Plenty of space to stretch out and relax after a day of skiing. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. I would rent this property again if I were going to Crested Butte.

Perfection!

We absolutely loved our stay during Christmas in Crested Butte! This property was one of the best we have ever stayed in. FULLY stocked with everything! We were there for a week and definitely wanted to cook in and we were thankful that the kitchen was so fully stocked! There wasn't anything that we needed that we didn't have. SO organized and CLEAN!!!! Beautiful and very updated (seemed like a newer property). We loved being able to open the windows and let the fresh air in. AMAZING views from ALL windows and there are alot of windows. Walking distance to downtown and shuttle. Great communication with the management!! I highly recommend this particular property and I highly recommend working with Alpine Properties for any stay!!! Great people, Great property!
