"We love this part of the Northumberland coast and visit regularly, and we did have a good time. I do think this cottage is overpriced for the quality of accommodation. The kitchen and main bedroom are very nice but the rest is a little tired. The furniture is miss matched flat pack and the bedding is of poor quality. One of the sofas is very uncomfortable (kids said like their student digs) the curtains are far too thin and don’t keep the cold out, we had to buy a lot of wood to keep the lounge...

"Fabulous cottage in a quiet setting. Airy and light & welcoming. Nice big dining kitchen with (more than!) everything we needed. View from sitting room over the hills was lovely. A great position to trek out from - so near to Cragside National Trust, which is a must! We also visited Wallington & Gibside NT & Holy Island. "The property is very nice, nicely furnished and very clean. We did feel that it lacked in terms of things provided, such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, just one USED dishcloth. No welcome pack with instructions, and parking was very confusing. We unpacked the car a the rear of the house, which upset the neighbour. We parked in the nearby public car park for the duration of our stay. We were also disappointed to find out that there was no live TV channels."

"The location of the property was excellent with a stunning sea view. The house was large and had everything we required. The property was listed as a non smoking residence but the porch and hallway had a distinct smell of cigarette smoke which was very off putting. But overall a very pleasant stay and a bonus was the weather."

The kitchen was a great size with a breakfast bar for dining and the toilet/shower room was of a very high standard. "It was not the best looking area so understand why no pictures of the exterior, it was a quiet area though and very close to amenities.Interior thought was good. The main issue was the floor in the bathroom, the floor is lifting and uneven, we also had a problem getting the shower to work, the “thingy” that you pull up to divert the water from tap to shower was really hard. "A lovely home, only a few minutes walk to the beach and village centre. We were family of 5 with 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for us all. The house is very well equipped and Susan the owner has really thought of everything needed for a wonderful family holiday!"
