"Location and home were excellent, however it needs much better lighting in the living room. We all used our headlamps to read!Overhead cams in the kitchen were burned out as well. We had to run out early Saturday morning to buy toilet paper. Porch furniture needed to be cleaned. We washed the table and chairs so we could use them. "

"We loved this quaint location and the privacy of the individual cabins! They had all the necessities and a rustic vibe with a great location to everything in Decorah. The place was new and had comfortable beds and furniture. My only suggestion is work on the cleanliness (fingerprints were all over everything that's used a lot so it made it seem like counters and such were also probably not wiped down, hair in the shower, dishes and counter had a lot of dust, and some stains on main wall areas and furniture). I wiped everything down myself and rewashed any dishes before using and would definitely still stay again due to the privacy."

"Stone Mill was a fabulous getaway for my husband and me. It's clean, inviting, and if you're a history enthusiast like us, you'll love staying here. Every morning from 7-9 AM in the common area, there is a lovely brunch served. They have fresh fruit, cereal, fresh pastries (from a local bakery, the caramel rolls were still warm when they were served), milk, coffee, tea, and various juices. And don't forget the gift shop, it was wonderful. Thank you for our wonderful getaway. We'll be back! "
