"The microwave was all splattered with some kind of red sauce or soup on the glass plate and the walls/ceiling. The toilet paper wasn’t replaced so we ran out around midnight and there was not an extra roll. The bathroom floor, especially behind the door, had dust and hair - didn’t appear it had been cleaned. There was a white substance on the front of the vanity shelf that ran down into the trash can and was on the floor. Maybe it was lotion or maybe something else. Not good. One of the gentlemen at the front desk actually checked the room to see if it was good and we met him coming out when we were walking into the room. He was ever friendly but clearly didn’t check the room in any systematic way. Otherwise the room layout and furniture is wonderful and the bed w as comfortable. The location is at the end of town near hwy so it’s not super quick with morning traffic to get downtown or to FSU. I would allow 20 minutes or more to get to FSU, park etc. The evening reception was a nice feature. I don’t drink but it was nice to have a fountain soda."

"Very quiet, comfortable old fashioned rooms and no frills furnishings. The emphasis here is the natural environment and with no TVs or night life. The dining hall food was surprisingly good and James, our waiter each night was excellent. The boat cruise was the highlight. We would have enjoyed a guided hike around the property by a ranger but I think they don’t have enough rangers. Overall a great two days"
