"The home at Bel Point is just incredible. It is situated on, and designed for, a beautiful bend on the Ash River. Everything about the layout invites the gorgeous surroundings in. It is private and tranquil.We used it as a base for a visit to Voyageurs National Park, which it is perfect for. The Ash River Visitor Center is twelve minutes from the house. So we were able to do a morning paddling interpretive program with the Park Rangers and then go back to the house for lunch and then back to the nearby trailheads for afternoon hiking.In the mornings, I would have my coffee on the two chairs on a little platform overlooking the river, and one morning heard 30 different bird species in less than half an hour, including a hummingbird at the flowers next to my head. So even if you aren't getting out on the river, the house and the outdoor spaces let you immerse yourself in nature.The bed was comfortable, and there were lots of places to relax and enjoy. The kitchen was well appointed, and Jay ensured the grill's propane tank was filled before we arrived. So we were able to grill steaks and vegetables, burgers, and make a hearty pasta dish easily.Kim and Jay had great recommendations, and they reached out in advance to make sure we felt welcome, which we did.Thanks again! We'd definitely like to return someday."

"We enjoyed our stay and the unlimited options for boating and fishing. It was nice to meet the owner in person. If you are looking for a small fishing cabin close (by boat) to the marina with the option to travel by boat miles and miles away, this is it! Handberg marina staff were very helpful and courteous. The views from the deck are relaxing, but be sure you can climb the hill to the cabin with your supplies. As some others have said, it is right by the big cabin but we still felt isolated enough."

"The cabin had a great view of the lake with a deck overlooking it. The lake is beautiful, and the fishing was satisfactory. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed, including nice dishes. I enjoyed having a dishwasher too. Bob and his family were friendly and helpful. There are kayaks available for free use, a ping pong table, a fuseball table, paddleboards, darts, and movies. If you don't mind an older cabin that needs some repairs, then it's a great place to stay."
