"We enjoyed our stay here, it was a great base whilst we explored the local area.There was a lot we loved about the house-plus the location was excellent and it was very handy to have the restaurant nextdoor. "This is the place to stay in Port Douglas. Everything is fabulous about By The Sea but it is the staff who make your holiday the absolute best. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is excellent & everything is there for you to have a wonderful holiday."

"This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We arrived, anticipating an attractive and heated pool. We discovered a very dirty, shabby out of date pool that was cold. After much communication with Expedia, the owners of the hotel turned up the temperature on the pool.
