EXTREME RETREAT WITH PRIVATE LAKE AND MILES OF GROOMED TRAILS, SPECTACULAR VIEWS
10/10 Excellent
"Pictures do not do it justice! Place is beautiful. Fishing was top-notch. We rented a mule and a pontoon — both were a blast. And huge shoutout to Greg and Katie, the awesome hosts who made it all even better! The lake has its own bald eagle, and a beaver our niece proudly named Fernando and Bernard. Truly and experience we will not forget. "
"The property is great, the hosts were very easy to get a hold of. They accommodate to needs very quickly, for example they fogged to help get rid of mosquitos to make sitting by the fire/lake more enjoyable. The lake water is clear & warm"
"Wonderful, quiet, peaceful lake. Home was quite clean but does have a very musty odor if you have allergies. King bed in the basement is 2 twin beds pushed together with a mattress pad on top which was comfortable enough but the middle does tend to sink in if you roll into the middle. Was quite hot upstairs without any a/c but the basement stayed nice and cool. Overall a very nice getaway if you are looking for off the beaten bath and beautiful UP nature/scenery."
"The cabin is great! Awesome location to explore the UP. Steps from the dock and canoe available. Mike had great suggestions for fishing holes and dining options."
"What a beautiful place to stay! Everything went smoothly from contactless check-in to check-out. Everything was super clean and as pictured and described. We appreciate you allowing pets. I wish we had had more time to use more of the amenities. The lake area and sauna looked real nice. Communication with out host David was very prompt and he answered the questions we had. Bed was comfortable but a little hard for my preference. A nice memory foam pad would fix that. Better lighting over the bathroom sink and an outlet would be a nice thing to add for the future. We will definitely recommend Ruth Lake Resort to our friends and would stay here again when we are back in the UP."
Summer Getaway at Updated Lakefront Cottage in Three Lakes
10/10 Excellent
"Dan's cabin was clean and equipped with everything you might need. Beds were comfortable. The childreen enjoyed the foosball table and board games. The location also worked great for us - just a short 40 min drive to Marquette, 20 mins to Canyon Falls, and within 30-45 mins from sandy Lake Superior beaches. Thank you for hosting us! We would book again if we are back in the area. "
"We’ve stayed in many UP cabins over the years during our annual summer trip. And this cabin was a haven. Truly, we were spoiled!! With only 3 of us, we had so much space. A group of 12 could easily stay. The single bathroom would be the biggest problem for large groups but the outhouse is available for a second bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable…we’ve never had a king in a cabin before! The living space is open with windows in every direction. The kitchen was well stocked. The furniture is well used but we didn’t spend much time indoors. Why would we when the backyard has everything you need?? My daughter discovered a love for saunas. We ate all our meals in the gazebo. We took the kayaks out on the lake. We enjoyed late nights around the campfire. It was…an amazing week. We wanted something closer to the western side this summer…and had 90 minute drives to both the Porkies (gorgeous) and Menominee whitewater river rafting (Wildman Ranch was awesome!). Don’t hesitate, book this place for your next trip. "
