"The hotel itself looks nice, and I normally never write reviews, but unfortunately this experience was bad enough that I felt I should.
The lady working in the breakfast area was wonderful — very kind and helpful. However, the experience at reception was the complete opposite.
When we checked in, we were offered breakfast. Since we thought we wanted to explore the town early, we declined. We were specifically told that if we changed our mind later, we could let reception know because paying directly in the breakfast room would cost more.
The next day, we changed our mind and went to reception to add breakfast, but the receptionist was extremely rude and simply said, “No, I can’t do that.” No explanation, no effort to help, nothing. We ended up going to the breakfast area and paying extra.
I understand policies exist, but there is a way to speak to guests and treat people. The hotel should pay more attention to the staff they hire for reception because customer service matters, especially in hospitality.
Very disappointing experience."
