Fracesco welcomed us warmly and made us the best meal of our trip which we enjoyed in his lovely garden nestled in the French countryside. Our room was spacious and sparkling clean and it was like finding an oasis after a few long days of travel. The only sad thing was we were only able to stay one night. We hope to return some day. "Turned up to hotel at 2.45 door locked with notice stating staff returning at 5pm. Still nobody at 5.15. Other clients arrived stating they had received an email from owner with code entrance and room number. We did not! Tried ringing owner.Taking the initiative we worked out from the register what rooms were taken so we took a key. The hotel is smelly, dark and very unwelcoming. "Wonderful French chateau with a wonderfully friendly staff. We extended our stay here due to the charm and ambience as we head to Spain for the eclipse. The room is perfect, with the best bed we have experienced this trip and a lovely balcony. Breakfast was also great. Spectacular value for money. I highly recommend a stay here."

"This was clearly the nicest place we stayed on our bike trip from Carcassonne to Sete. The host couple, Natalie and Sebastien, could not have more welcoming or helpful. Their quiet little chambres de hotes is very close to the Canal du Midi path and very relaxing. The swimming pool was a delight after a day on the bike and they served us beers poolside (extra charge). Their extremely friendly pup, Violette, was an unexpected delight. I recommend taking them up on the offer for a seat at their table de hotes as well. It was a delicious meal on their terrace. I would recommend that you consider planning each stage of your trip around an overnight stop at Le Colibri Bleu."

"Le gîte est très agréable, on s'y sent bien, il est très confortable. Il est très spacieux pour 12 personnes. Il y a toutes les commodités et tout est prévu: serviettes de toilette et de plage, papier toilette, gel douche, etc... La piscine chauffée est délicieuse. Elle est à l'abri des regards. Manger dehors est vraiment très agréable.On a passé trois jours de rêve!"
