"This place and the surrounding area are amazing in my opinion. I learned the hard way, but you deff need a car in this area. The towns all around are cute and have a nice old school charm. And Lismore castle and gardens are amazing. Just wish the lord and lady would allow tours of the castle."

"We made the barricks property our home base for our family group of 9 while exploring Ireland and could not have asked for better accommodations! The restored property is absolutely beautiful! Our lovely host, Marion, shared the rich history of the barricks with us and we were amazed at how much work went into restoring the property. It was very clean and tranquil, exactly what was needed after getting away from a big city. The views of the many islands on the River Shannon were breathtaking.
