From the wonderful swimming pool (12 x 5 meters!) overlooks your own valley full of vineyards, olive trees, grain fields and cypresses. The very spacious house is stylishly furnished and moreover completely furnished: 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room with fireplace, kitchen diner with American fridge, Nespresso machine, Sonos speakers, internet connection, etc .. A trampoline, table tennis table and volleyball / badminton court are available for children. Suitable for a maximum of 8 people (very suitable for 2 families).
The garden has a Biobelt (anti-mosquito system) so that you can enjoy the swimming pool and the terraces mosquito-free.
St Tropez, Nice, Aix and Provence about 1 hour away. Gorges du Verdon at ¾ o'clock. Lots of activities in the immediate area; cycling (available) and walking from home, canoeing, golfing etc.
The house is rented from Sunday to Sunday so that tenants are not bothered by the extreme traffic on the Autoroute du Soleil on Fridays and Saturdays. On Sundays you drive quietly, without traffic jams.

Within
The Dutch owners have furnished this Provencal farmhouse for their own use and equipped with all equipment that guarantees a pleasant stay. The farmhouse was purchased in 2006 and subsequently thoroughly renovated. Everything is new, but the original charm has been preserved through the use of old materials. From the central hall in the middle of the house you will come to the right in a spacious (35m2) kitchen, equipped with dishwasher, oven, microwave, American fridge (with cold water / ice cube dispenser) and a dining table for 10 people.
From the hall you enter the spacious (50m2) living room with a spacious sitting area and an extra dining table. The living room contains a number of antique cupboards purchased from the local antique dealer. In the living room with fireplace there is a TV with satellite (Dutch and French channels), a DVD player and a Sonos speaker.
Via the stairs you come upstairs to 2 bedrooms (both with 2 single beds but easy to convert to double beds) and a spacious bathroom (double sink and walk-in shower, separate toilet). There is also a master bedroom on this floor with its own spacious bathroom with bath, shower and toilet.
From the living room on the ground floor you enter a separate room with a spacious hall where there is a desk. Adjacent to this hall are a large guest room (with 2 single beds or 1 double), 2) and a smaller bedroom with 2 single beds. Separate toilet and a bathroom with shower.
The washing machine and dryer are in the storage room. Cot (camping) and high chair are available.
Outside:
From the village of Cotignac you drive through the vineyards to the house in about 5 minutes. The last part over a private driveway through the olive trees, along your own centuries-old well to the house. There is sufficient space for parking several cars. The terrace in front of the house is surrounded by old mulberry trees, which provide a rural atmosphere. Under the thatched terrace you can sit in the sun and enjoy the view. From this terrace you walk through a natural stone staircase to the lower pool. Around the pool are old olive trees, which give the pool a sheltered appearance. There is a large terrace with hardwood sun beds and a seating area with authentic French metal beds. At the large wooden table with wooden benches you can already have breakfast in the morning in the sun. A large, buried trampoline and a ping-pong table offer children a lot of fun.
On the side of the house you will find a lounge area where you can sit and relax. Moreover, there is a large wooden table so that you can eat deliciously in the late evening sun (Weber gas BBQ available).
So you can sit in the sun all day, but also in the shade if you prefer. The old trees scattered around the house offer plenty of shade for the hot days.
Please note: due to the natural stone “restangues” (stone walls that divide the terrain into terraces), the terrain directly around the house may be less suitable for enterprising toddlers. Look at the pictures to see for yourself whether it is suitable for your child. The pool can be covered with an automatic roller shutter to prevent children from falling into the water unnoticed.
Surroundings:
From the house you can make various cycling trips and walks. You are really in the middle of hilly nature, with many small paths that lead you sometimes through vineyards, then through (oak) forests or past small villages. Cotignac is a lively village known for its original appearance, with many restaurants and terraces under the large plane trees on the square. Also visit the cave houses at the back of the village.
Trips to the Lac St. Croix (1/2 hour drive; surfing, sailing, pedal boat, swimming), Gorges du Verdon (3/4 hour; beautiful gorge where you can walk and can pedal and swim in), but also to "le village dans le ciel ”Tour tour (1/2 hour from where you have a beautiful view), but if you want to look for the hustle and bustle of the coast you also drive in one hour to the beaches of St Maxime, St Tropez, Le Lavandou etc. Or enjoy a day of culture in Aix en Provence (1 hour).
Are you a golf enthusiast? Then you can enjoy yourself at the famous Barbaroux golf course (1/2 hour). And then we are not talking about the many Provencal markets or the vide greniers and flea markets that are everywhere in the summer.
