"Our family (8 people) gathered for Easter Vacation at the Poggio Verde villa. We have rented several villas in the past decade in Italy, Spain, Greece and France, but this one was definitely the most comfortable and peaceful one. We were lucky to meet the very kind owners and learn a bit more from them on the history of the villa and region. The garden is amazing, with old trees and flowers, plenty of spaces calling for meditation. We also liked the open kitchen which is fully equipped as well as the multiple dining and sitting rooms, where we even played the piano. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit as well as restaurants for those who would like a more active holiday, around the lakes and mountains within 45mn-60mn drive, and also various towns including Milano (there's a convenient train station not to far away, to avoid traffic jams). Each bedroom has its own bathroom so the villa is also very convenient for a group or even professional gathering. Highly recommended."

"The uniqueness of this property lies in the fact that it's one of the very few in the area. Otherwise it's a small private run b&b for an affordable price. The room was clean and served its purpose. I appreciate the idea of serving breakfast in the rooms, it's cute, but it's terribly unpractical if the room is small and doesn't really offer a table where two people can comfortably sit and share a croissant. The other downside of this place is the general lack of a place to sit down. Unless you are willing to drive there is little to do in the immediate vicinity, unfortunately the b&b doesn't offer a garden/lobby/common space where one could sit down with a beer/snack etc. "

"Attentive host, Nicola, who was very helpful. Great communication before and during the stay. House is charming, rustic, clean and well-appointed. A few steep steps up to the front door, but great views of Lake Garlate from the garden. Stairs in the house and narrow and steep so caution for very young children. The main bedroom has a lovely terrace. The second bedroom just fits 2 single beds almost pushed together, so suitable for a couple or younger children. The pool area and play area were clean, spacious and well maintained and never too busy (we were there during the last week of July 2024). Pool and play area are only a 2 minute walk from the house. Parking is also a 2 minute walk away but up a hill (the area is generally quite hilly). The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettle and 2 electric hobs. Lots of great places to visit nearby - Lecco, Bellagio, Menaggio, Bellano (the caves), Jungle Raider Park at Civenna, the beach at Onno (great for swimming in the Lake).
