Welcome to The Pod House, a captivating 1960's party house nestled on the picturesque Texas Coast! This unique vacation retreat offers an enchanting blend of retro charm and modern comfort, providing an unforgettable experience for up to 12 guests. With its private pool, outdoor lounge areas, and BBQ spaces, The Pod House is designed to create a vibrant and relaxing atmosphere for your stay.
As you step inside, you'll be transported back in time to the funky and colorful era of the 1960s. The interior boasts a vibrant and eclectic decor, featuring bold patterns, and retro furnishings that perfectly capture the essence of the era. The spacious living areas are filled with natural light and offer plenty of space for socializing, entertaining, and creating lasting memories. Decorative ceilings were a unique 60's feature! The main pod has a unique whipped cream ceiling and the second pod has lighted hanging crystals hanging from the ceiling.
The Pod House provides ample accommodation for your group, with a total of 12 sleeping spaces. The bedrooms are thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind, featuring cozy beds, soft linens, and unique vintage touches. Each room offers a peaceful sanctuary where you can unwind after a day of coastal adventures. Sorry, no pets allowed. There is an additional Venue fee of $1,000.00 for hosting weddings and special events.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location.Plenty of space for big groups.House not very well cleaned, white outdoor pole lights did not work, big safety concern. No rails for high steps, no wifi the entire stay, outdoor grills were disgusting,luckily we brought our own. House needs work. Property mgmt was very helpful and would recommend them

Girls Trip

Our annual office girls trip was a success and this awesome house was high in th exist for reasons why ! After a day at the beach we came back to the house and hung out in the pool , cooked outside and relaxed in the inviting and comfortable house. This house is decorated so cool and the owners clearly out alot of live into the design and decor .

The house has everything you need to relax. But the main attraction to this property is the outside deck and pool. The water was freezing but we had to get into the pool. Port A Escapes was easy and great to work with.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was even better than the pictures show. The brown kitchen (in pics) isn’t the correct kitchen. It’s even better...We always get a house with a pool for the kids. But this wasn’t a regular pool. This was awesome. They had more fun and could fit big floats in the giant pool. The house itself is incredible. It was perfect for Spring Break. We had the big crowds, but we had our own huge gated outdoor area to enjoy without the crowds, too. The house was clean and very well stocked with anything we could have needed. The house lighting made our house stand out from down the street. If you want a house that stand out from any house on the island, this one is it! Everyone wanted to see this beautiful property! Plenty of room for everyone to be together but we also had ample space. If you’re in between choosing houses, choose this one!!! Everyone will be talking about it for weeks! We can’t wait to come back this summer!

Weekend getaway with a baby

We rented this property for our first vacation with an infant. It couldn't have been more perfect. Plenty of privacy if you have multiple families. It was a lot of house for our little family, but so worth it for the pool!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house truly has it all! Our kids absolutely loved the pool and the fact it was deep and shallow . They played a continuous game of Marco Polo every chance they got !! The house was stocked with every type of dish , pan, utensils you could think of . They had extra fans in every room to use if you needed. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen area by the pool made things super convenient. The only thing was parking wasn’t the best but we managed !
