Welcome to "Surf's Up!"

"Surf's Up" offers incredible privacy. It is a detached two-story townhouse with no shared walls and no upstairs neighbors. It also has a bonus entertainment room upstairs for when you need to separate "adult time" from "kids time." It is part of a new community that is composed of only 8 modern townhouses that share 4 swimming pools. Take one step out the door and you will have access to a semi-private pool equipped with a sun bench and lounge chairs. There is a private propane grill and shared charcoal grills available to use.

The location is prime. "Surf's Up" is near all the restaurants and shops. Most people that come to Port Aransas need to rent a golf cart, but here, you will be walkable to all the in-town attractions. The beach is a little less than a mile from the house. Driving your car onto the beach is actually the easiest way to get all your gear there anyhow. And.... No, you don't need 4wd or Awd vehicle to drive on the beach in PA. (Make sure to purchase a beach sticker at any PA gas station.)

Lastly, the most unique spot on the property is our rooftop patio. Smothered with string lights and several outdoor games, this spot is guaranteed to seal each wonderful day with an amazing night to remember. Sip back on a cocktail while looking up at the stars as the cool ocean breeze provides reprieve from warm Texas nights.

We really enjoyed our stay! The rooftop was the perfect place to relax in the evenings. Pool was a great place to cool off after a day at the beach. Location was close to everything!

This was our favorite of many stays in Port A. The rooftop made our trip special. We watched the sun rise and set from our rocking chairs on the roof. The kids played the games and swam in the perfectly private pool. I loved the smart TVs-so easy to log in and use. An absolutely wonderful place to stay. We will be back!

The rental caught my eye because of the rooftop and it was nothing less than exceptional! This was our first weekend getaway with family since before covid. The property was neat and very accommodating for our large family! Games for entertainment on every floor. The rooftop has the best view in the area!!! They even have an ice chest so you don’t have carry yours all the way too the top. They really thought of everything! The beach is less then a 5 min drive! We will definitely recommend to all our family and we will be staying again! Thank you for a wonderful Memorial weekend!

This property was great for a multi-family gathering. There was a bedroom on the first floor which was great for my mother and father in law to avoid the steep stairs and the kids had a bunk bed next to the king bed which let them feel like they were having a grandma/grandpa sleep over! Meanwhile, my sister, brother in law and my husband took the rooms upstairs. 2 living areas meant everyone could wind down after a long day at the beach without being stuck to kid shows or keeping up folks who wanted to turn in early, and the roof was amazing. The location was also great in that it was a short walk away from a small grocery store, dining/breakfast, sno cones, and the beach! We were nervous at first as the building next door is used for EMS, but they never woke us up with sirens or anything. In many ways, I felt safer knowing they were near! The beach is also walkable, but I recommend getting a $12 beach parking pass from stripes or renting a golf cart to get there just to save the legs. If you're ever tired of the sand or it's raining, no problem, the shared pool was fantastic and has a great shelf for littles (2 inches deep) while the rest is 3 or 4 feet deep. The home was also well stocked with necessities and had some board games, cornhole and even a mini NES available which helped on our rainy day. Jon and Helen were also very responsive hosts (we had a problem with the door to the roof that they quickly resolved), so even if you have a problem they have your back! I will definitely be back.
