Access to Hill Cottage is hassle-free with our Smart Lock system. On your check-in day, you’ll receive a unique code to unlock the door, which will expire at 10:00 a.m. on your check-out day.

The Neighborhood:

At the end of Route 12, where the ocean and dunes prevail, the Villages at Ocean Hill claims its share of the sun-kissed beaches of the northern Outer Banks. Sitting between the serene Currituck Sound and the majesty of the Atlantic, this community offers opportunities for family fun, sport, recreation, and sheer relaxation, with golf carts, bikes, and walking all easy ways to get around.



Cyclists of all ages can enjoy the nearly 2-mile stretch of newly paved bike lane connecting VOH to the shops and community of Corolla Light. Nature lovers will love the serenity of the Currituck Banks National Estuarine Reserve, adjacent to the community, for walking and taking in the sights and sounds of the maritime forest.



Guests of Hill Cottage have access to the Community Fitness Center, Pickleball Courts, and Tennis Courts for a fee. Visit the Fitness Center or VOH website for additional information.



Just a few minutes north is the entrance to the 4x4 Beach, where you can take a scenic drive on the sand and, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of the wild horses that call this stretch of coast home, a favorite moment for many of our guests.

After booking your stay with us, we kindly ask our guests to complete a rental agreement. This is a standard procedure designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all parties involved in renting homes in North Carolina. When signing the rental agreement, you are agreeing to share this agreement and the house rules with all parties that will be on the property during your stay. This rental agreement applies to "everyone" staying or visiting the property. If you are booking on Airbnb, you will receive a link to the rental agreement in the Airbnb app.

★ TRUST & SAFETY FEE ★

Our company applies a single, nonrefundable fee for a Safely Protection Policy. We do not collect a security deposit. A Safely Protection Policy (short-term rental insurance) ensures that the guest, the home and its contents are protected during the stay.



★ CLEANING & SANITIZATION ★

Health, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out.



★ POOLS & HOT TUBS ★

The pool and hot are open seasonally from May 15-October 15.



★ NOT A PET-FRIENDLY HOME ★

We love those little (and not so little) furry bundles of joy. Sadly, our home is not suitable to accommodate them. Should you bring pets without obtaining prior permission from the host, there will be a $400 infraction fee, and your stay will be subject to cancellation with no refund and an expedited eviction.



★ NO SMOKING INSIDE ★

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside of the home. If you smoke outside the home, please clean up after.



★ SECURITY CAMERAS ★

All of our homes have exterior security cameras for the safety and security of our guests. Exterior cameras are pointed at areas of ingress and egress from the home.



★ NO THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS ★

For the safety and tranquility of our guests and neighbors, we strictly prohibit third-party bookings. The person making the reservation must be the one staying at the property.



★ NO PARTIES/EVENTS ★

We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its condition for future guests and your return visits. We do not accept reservations from individuals under the age of 25, especially for high school or college parties.
