Superbly clean and managed by a very nice lady. Location is great for day trips to Watkins Glen. Letchworth is also only about 60 miles away. Would definitely stay here again.

Don't let the outside or location fool you. The motel rooms have been nicely updated. Beds are comfortable, kitchenette is nice. No restaurants or other amenities nearby, but only a short drive to Corning.

Despite its rather unpreposessing exterior appearance, this motel - a very short drive from charming downtown Corning - is fine: clean, secure, with everything a weary traveler needs (except places to eat - but there are many about 7 minutes away in Corning). Nice clean comfortable room, TV, free WiFi, mini kitchen - bring your own coffee. If it just had a full length mirror it would be perfect.

The Gatehouse is a "Mom and Pop" type motel located a few miles down the road from Corning, NY. I arrived a few hour's before the 3 PM check-in time but the owner/manager had no problem providing a clean, quiet room. It's an older property with about a half hour ride back into town for a meal or a visit to the glass museum.

Like everyone else said, don’t judge this place by the outside appearance. The rooms are renovated, so it’s a great deal for the price. I had everything that I needed. Lauren is awesome, very friendly and helpful! She deserves a bonus and/or a raise!! I look forward to staying here again!

The motel was small and unassuming but Lauren was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious nicely updated and very clean. The price was affordable. About the only negative was that the pillows were not very comfortable but overall I highly suggest this property when staying in Corning NY

Lauren was an absolute legend. Knowing she may not have been onsite when we got there she called me in the. To let me know. Left the key for me and came to see us afterwards. The room was great. Clean, updated and comfortable. The bed and pillows are the best I have had the pleasure of sleeping in. Lots of hot water, although the water pressure is a little.on the low side but none the less great stay all around. Will certainly stay there again if passing through.

When I enter a budget motel I expect it to be dank, dusky, dingy, dim, and dark. This place was bright, clean and inviting. It has been newly renovated, and has a few extras like a shaving/beauty mirror, a hairdryer, a desk perfect for laptops, a swivel TV with two remotes, a countertop burner, fridge, micro, dishes and cutlery. It is only an 8 minute drive from Market Street and the Glass Musuem. You won't do better for the money.
