"We loved this historic and quirky hotel. The room and bath were spotless and comfortable, and the bed and linens were high-quality. We didn't like the stairs (there was no elevator), but it was only two floors. We had help with our bags at checkout. The location is perfect in a little alleyway connecting two main streets. We would stay here again."

"We had a fantastic stay at La Bohème! Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and clean with plenty of outlets and the breakfast was delicious. There is a fair bit of noise that comes through the bedroom windows from people in the streets below, but not much anyone can do about that. "

"The hosts were amazing and the breakfast that was included in our stay was delicious! One of the best breakfasts we had on a whole honeymoon. "

"We had a lovely stay at villa Alta. The staff were very welcoming, building was historical but modern. Really loved waking up to the birds chirping. Would highly recommend staying here to get away from the hustle and bustle for an authentic counrty feel. "

"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "

"Our family stayed at La Colonna for 4 days. It was a nice, clean, quiet place to stay and cleanliness is very important to me. Check-in was easy and the host was friendly and gave us great advice on a nearby laundromat and a small cafe. A great place to stay inside the walls of Lucca. Convenient to anyplace you would want to go - restaurants, shopping, sites. We made day trips to Pisa and Sienna and drove around Tuscany. Would definitely stay here again!!"

"We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Stella B&B in Lucca. Lovely old property, which was gorgeous, our room was spotlessly clean and the building was well managed by Lucia, who was friendly and extremely helpful during our stay. Breakfast was next door at the Stella patisserie, a fabulous cafe/shop/bar serving guests and locals alike with delicious food and drinks all day and into the evening. There was also a shared kitchen/diner available downstairs in the building if you wanted to...
