"The hotel is very nice and our room was quite comfortable. My only complaint is that when I booked the room, which I was happy was "pet friendly", they didn't tell me that their pet fee was $100 per stay! And none of it was refundable! We've never had to pay more than $50 at any other hotel. We have 1 small dog and it doesn't matter if you're just staying 1 day or 5, it's still $100. I completely understand the expenses that are involved with having pet-friendly rooms, but I just thought this was too exorbitant. We go to the area quite a bit for my husband's orthopedic doctor appointments & surgeries, and I did like the hotel, but we will not be staying there again."

"The only ice was from the water color in the front, the continental breakfast was waffles, cold and hot cereal which was a lot more basic than I could have anticipated. The hotel is clearly dated though the lobby had clearly had a recent renovation. I was fairly let down. Red lions are usually a bit dated but felt like this one missed the normal quality."

"This charming little cabin tucked away and on the river is truly beautiful and was perfect for us! The hosts Susie and Al think of everything and made us feel very safe and welcome. We are sad we have to leave today after our weekend here. We hope and plan to rebook Trails End again 10/10"
