"We had such a great stay here. The place is super peaceful, and the lake views are honestly incredible. Sunrises looked like paintings every morning. We loved taking the canoe and kayak out on the water, especially at sunset. Since there are no motorboats, it’s just quiet and calm, which made it even better. Only noise was from ducks, geese and frogs. The resident bald eagle also gave us a daily challenge to find his fishing spot for the day. Taconic State Park is about 10 minutes away, which was perfect for hiking. We did a mix of trails, some more challenging ones with stream crossings and awesome views, and some easier walks that lead to really beautiful waterfalls.The house itself is simple and very functional. Really well laid out and has everything you need. Clean, no clutter and open. It made it easy to just relax and enjoy being outside together as a family. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway."

"We are just home from a wonderful weekend of relaxing, skiing and spending time with family.Denise is a lovely host and her home is not only immaculate but well stocked with everything you will need. We enjoyed making s’mores out at the fire pit overlooking the beautiful lake. We all slept like babies on their comfortable beds and the kids had a blast downstairs with bunk beds and a ping pong/ air hockey table. We grilled steaks on their grill which is right outside the kitchen We didn’t want for anything! I can’t recommend this property enough!"

"Charming farmhouse with a master bedroom suite. Bed was very comfy and cozy. My husband and I went for a quick getaway with our dog. Great location! Close to skiing, hiking and some quaint shops. Host was very responsive and made some great dining recommendations. Very nice and peaceful neighborhood. "

"This is a very lovely home in a great location. It has the right amount of historic charm paired with very modern amenities (plus stunning artwork!). We got a large amount of snow during our stay but they had people plow the road and even shovel up to the front door. "

"The house was charming. Everything is clean and updated. Everything from the bedding, to the pots, pans, dishes, and towels were of very nice quality. As cold as it was, the walks by the lake were beautiful and peaceful and the firepit was a great way to end the cold winter days. Leticia was always helpful. She thought of everything, so we really didnt need much! "

"The pictures didn’t do this place justice — it’s even more beautiful in person! The fall views over the orchard were stunning and we loved watching deer wander by in the early morning and at dusk. The rooms were perfectly sized, the kitchen was perfectly stocked and there were tons of games and movies for the kids. The host was incredible and gave us great local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. A perfect, quiet fall getaway — we can’t wait to return!"
