Amazing experience at Sunvalley

We stayed for 3 nights in Dec 17. Rooms in cottage category are newly built, clean & have large private terrace with 270 degrees of beautiful tea plantation view. The surroundings of the property has colorful landscaping and sits on the edge of the plantation. Just like a scenic picture. Food is absolutely amazing. Just to name a few... Gajar ka halwa, South Indian Biryani, South Indian Curry, sevai kheer, Dosa... were simply perfect! We also used sightseeing packages that comes with clean private car. Drivers were super friendly and eager to share information. Staff went above and beyond to meet our requests and were treated with upmost attention & priority. The atmosphere feels more like home but with professionalism of 5 star hotel. We have stayed in many five star properties across India, US, Dubai, Mauritius to name few but this property stands high & tall among them. Thanks to the Owners, super friendly staff and awesome chefs for making our stay memorable.. this is a rare find! We will definitely visit them again.

The location of the hotel is terrible. The road to the hotel is unmade and very dusty. The hotel is quite isolated. There is no wifi in the room despite being advertised as having wifi in room.

Great place to chill out and relax

Beautiful setting by the tea plantation, we stayed in the honey moon suite which had an awesome view. The restaurant was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Cooonor was a short ride away, it a great little town with a market place worth exploring.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, sauber und freundlich. Das Hotelpersonal sehr zuvorkommend und angenehm. Leider wurden mir aus meinem Zimmer ein großer Teil meines Bargelds (merkwürdiger weise nicht alles) gestohlen und dazu auch mein Gepäck durchsucht. Das völlig schockierte Management ("kam hier noch nie vor") unternahm allerdings wenig zur Aufklärung oder gar Schadensregulierung durch Kulanz, was einen Schatten auf einen ansonsten sehr schönen Aufenthalt war.

Awsome hotel facing tea estate

It was an awsome stay @sunvalley home stay. I loved staying in this hotel. Below are few things which i didnt like 1. I had booked honeymoon suit however they provided execuitive suite saying some problem with site 2. Dinner - provided buffet however it was not worth cost(for veg) 3. Road to reach their is not soo good, however der are lots of sign boards Things I liked 1. Place is awsome with balcany facing tae estate and mountain sourending the place 2. Very friendly staffs 3. Clean and tidy room 4. Supab complementory breakfast

Comfortable stay

Sunvalley homestay had all the comforts of a hotel. We had booked 2 different types of rooms and both were clean and tidy. The view from the balcony was great too - lush green tea plantation. Food was good and also the service. Overall, a peaceful stay..

Good service

It is a typical hotel than a Homestay, just that the view from the balcony is towards the tea estate. Food and service is great. People looking for a homestay should look else where. As said by others, approach is very bad, your car can scrape on the humps and uneven road.
