"My family and I, including our dog, had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at Shoal Cottage. The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Heaters in every room kept us warm and cosy and the fire pit was also a great addition. The dog was VERY impressed with the off-leash beach, especially as it was so close to the house! We’ll definitely come back again."

"A lovely mix of mini-farm-stay but in accommodation with all of the modern conveniences. Loved the quiet location, feeding the very friendly chickens, birdlife, and lovely hosts. Yes, the property (more so the surrounds) aren't immaculately curated, but that was absolutely fine with us. The only real negative was the advertised gas heating had been removed, and the replacement oil heaters were a tad inadequate. Would definitely like to return in the non-winter period."

"We enjoyed our stay at Aloha. Excellent location, great property as described and checkin was easy. Thank you, we would definitely stay again. A clothes airer would be a great addition and instructions on igniting the oven as we couldn’t get it to work for us. "

"one downer was the fact the restaurant isn't open for dinner on a Saturday night, we had the weekend planned and dinner at this beautiful place was on the list, our fault for not looking properly? perhaps. we just assumed. luck of the draw with rooms, yes, all superior but some are better than others. needed to really look at the offerings and try to pick. saying that, we loved the room we were in it just wasn't the one in the photo we saw booking online. the dude at check-in and in the cellar door really sold the place with his enthusiasm (and his red hair) his recommendation was next time try for room. 28?"
