"What a gem! Inn the Woods is a lovely B&B very close to the FDR home and museum, the Vanderbilt mansion, and so much more. The hosts provided thoughtful touches in our room, such as a small fridge with bottled water, bedside lamps with USB ports, and plenty of hooks in the bathroom. And the breakfasts! "Lynn was very helpful. She greeted us as we drove into the driveway during a downpour, arranged our parking, and brought us in followed by a nice tour of the home and the procedures to follow. Instead of breakfast we were offered some packaged pastry from a gas station. Plus, there were a bunch of insects in the room. "Came to the cottage for some solitude and quiet between jobs. This was just what the doctor ordered. Close enough to town for easy access, but far enough away that it was always quiet and peaceful. Sitting in the chairs on the river was truly amazing. Jane was a fantastic host; would definitely recommend staying here, and would happily come back on my next trip to Woodstock."
