"The property was okay but it was weird that the pool was shared with a different hotel. And it closed very early so even though the temperature outside was 90+ degrees, we were unable to go swimming at 9 pm. In addition, Tru by Hilton says it is "pet-friendly" - and they do allow dogs in the rooms - however, they have a tiny, fake-turf dog "walk" (pee) area in the corner of the parking lot, which was not pet-friendly at all. And to get there, the dogs had to walk over dark pavement that burned their feet. Either stop accepting pets or step up to actually make the location truly pet-friendly - with an actual grassy area and dog run."

"We had a fantastic stay. The house is wonderful and the backyard pool and patio are exceptional. The pool is smaller than it looks in the photos, but it was still a blast for our family to enjoy during the hot summer days of July in Grand Junction. The patio makes you feel like you’re staying at a hotel resort. There are also two beautiful fire pits, and a huge table that seats about 20 people. We so much enjoyed hanging out laid into the evening.Our hosts were wonderful and communicated with us very well. If we had any questions that were just a phone call away and always responded quickly. That was refreshing, as it is not always the case with short term rentals.We recommended to the hosts that they replace the mattresses in the guest house bedroom and the guest house hide-a-bed. We slept fine in the guest bedroom, but the mattress is a bit uncomfortable and lacking support. The hide-a-bed mattress needs replacing as you can feel the springs. Our teenage son slept in that bed, but I would not feel comfortable having an adult sleep there. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we really loved the property and would definitely stay there again. Our group was a large one with multiple families for a family reunion, and the property accommodated us well with everyone in beds. We all had a wonderful time and the property felt like home for a few days. Thanks for a great stay!"

"The house was very clean! Kitchen was well stocked with basic spices and a wide variety of small appliances. The house had several childrens books and toys, which was so nice as my 1 year old grandson traveled with us. The location was ideal for all of the National Parks we wanted to visit. The owner met us at check in and explained everything about the house. He made the check in process very easy. Would definitely recommend this house."
Restored 2BR Historic Cottage w/ Mesa Views – Grand Junction

"This cottage on the Redlands is absolute perfection, in every way!! I loved the property so much - I would live there if I could! The host was kind, helpful, and communicative from the get go, and all instructions were easy to follow. The house itself is even better/cuter than the pictures and description - and those are fantastic to begin with. The property is immaculate, well-appointed, tastefully decorated, comfortable - just perfect! Being from GJ, this is actually the first time I've ever gone "home" and not stayed at "home," and this cottage will now be my permanent residence whenever I do visit. I traveled by myself this time, but my family of 4 (two teen boys) will fit easily, and I can't wait to show it to them. My favorite parts of my stay the 3 mini split ACs (a must for July), the fantastic coffee pot, and the VIEW!!!! Just WOW! I sat on the back patio morning and night taking in the view, the wildlife (birds galore - great horned owls, osprey, blue birds, quail, etc), the sunsets. I can't say it enough - this place is perfect, and you will LOVE it!!"

"So many wonderful things about this rental. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy and the A/C worked great.The downfall of this property is the neighborhood it is in. I would say this house is by far the nicest in the neighborhood and we unfortunately had a bad experience one night with the neighbors. They were loud and partying into the wee hours keeping us awake when we should have been getting much needed rest. I contacted the hosts and they really didn’t seem to care. I received a very short text saying “sorry - do you know which neighbors?” In response to me letting them know what happened. I replied to their question and gave more details about our experience (a sleepless night) and they never responded. I was definitely disappointed in that communication and lack of trying to make things right. I know if I was the host and my renters had two additional nights to go I would have made some efforts to at the very least communicate and check in on how the additional night went. Maybe delivered some earplugs? Or some type of an apology? Partial refund? Something….. I believe acts of customer service go far and we didn’t experience any of that. Another sidenote - the amount of spiders and spider webs outside the property were unreal. They were even in places like the handles of the gate and door into the garage which we couldn’t avoid. Seems like more frequent pest control is necessary this time of year."
