"Good value. The doors are really loud no matter how gently you try to close them. The walk to city centre is on a very busy road, but the upside is there plenty of shopping close to the hostel."

We loved Cong. We had spent time in Dublin and Galway prior, and we loved the village experience of Cong. We also had a car during our Cong stay and enjoyed our drive around the Connamara peninsula.

Didn’t explore much of Cong since we had everything we needed at our accommodations (The Lodge at Ashford) but the little town is adorable! The pharmacy was very helpful too.

Love this little village. Of course we did the quiet man tour. My whole reason for wanting to go see where one of my favorite movies was filmed.

Cong is very tiny and most noteably the film location of the John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara movie The Quiet Man.
