"Unique and wonderful! We stayed here because we wanted to see the flower fields near Casteluccio. We drove up from Rome in about 4 hours through beautiful mountains. This castle (a former defensive fortification) was a breathtaking sight at the end of the drive. We were warmly greeted by the owners, Francesco and his sister Lara. Our baggage was taken up the stairs via an amazing custom monorail. The room was comfortable and cool, the linens were excellent quality, our sleep was refreshing, and breakfast healthy and satisfying. They feature delicious bottled juices. Francesco gave us a tour of the fascinating historical interior rooms including the winemaking room with the grape stomping vats! I highly recommend Castle di Luco, we will treasure our stay here forever! "

"We had the absolute best time at Il Melograno — it was everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, Candida made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She and her wonderful team (and family!) went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our stay and our wedding.The venue was breathtaking — the perfect setting for our small, 27-person wedding. We followed Candida’s recommendation and worked with Magie di Pasta (Davide and his team), who created the most delicious meal for our wedding and made every moment feel so special.In the days leading up to the wedding, we organized a pasta-making class right at the villa and went on local wine tastings — such a fun and memorable way to spend time with our guests before the big day.One thing to note for future guests: we definitely recommend renting cars, as the villa is tucked away in a peaceful and private area, and having a car makes it much easier to explore the surrounding region. Taxis were a bit of a struggle as it was time to check in and checkout of the villa. We’re so grateful to Candida and everyone at Il Melograno for making this experience so magical.
