"This is a very odd place. Sure it is an old palace but the rooms are in a basement like plant. In the bathroom the hot water took ages and the shover did not work. We were the only guests and therefore they closed the dining-room and the library and half past eight and the only way our was through the emergency door by the kitchen. It is not a recommendable hotel.The surroundings are quit e nice and the park is great, but inside it is not."

"The house has a perfect view. The road to come there is a challenge. Competa is a very nice village. There are nice walks in the surrounding mountains. The swimmingpool guy was very friendly. We had a waterproblem for some days but that was fixed bij the house keepers. So the stay was very relaxing!"

At 2am on our first night, we realised we'd been placed on the side of the hotel where there is a dog that barks constantly. My family got little sleep that night, maybe a couple of hours at 6am when it finally stopped.
