We were very fortunate to get a room with an unbelievable view of Lake Como. The room was surrounded by windows on 3 out of the 4 walls. Right accross the street was the harbour for all the boats & lots of great restaurants in the area.

This was the most beautiful, least functional room of our entire trip. The view was amazing but we didn't get to enjoy it much as we were barely in the room except to sleep. Obviously I saw in the pics that the shower and tub were in the open which I don't love, but I still booked it. The bigger problem is that the room is soooooo loud. We didn't sleep at all. You can hear every person come and go within the "hotel". And the main street is just below along with a bustling restaurant. We could hear every conversation and piece of silverware being cleared. Also, all night long trash trucks or something were beeping and making all kinds of racket. It was rough. We never met the staff, but we were allowed to drop our bags since our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and they were very responsive.

This is a wonderful place to stay! It is right on the lake. The room we had faced the lake with beautiful views from 3 sides of the room. Monica is a lovely person who I enjoyed meeting. It is centrally located for making reservations for boat rides and it is a 5 minute walk along the lake to the train station where you can take a train to the top of Lake Como and see the Swiss Alps. The restaurants are all within walking distance. The food was excellent and the service was very good. I highly recommend this place.
