"Overall this was an amazing stay. We had a great weekend. Just for future renters, the space appears much bigger in the photos than it actually is. But it’s perfect for 2 people. It should also be noted that there is a shared entrance and no doors keep you secure from the owners possibly entering. However, the owners of the main home were not present during our stay so there were no issues. They also left us snacks!"

I would have given 5 stars for cleanliness, However, the cleaner missed some details in the bathroom. Nathan was amazing with communication. "Nice place to stay. Very clean, nicely appointed space, comfortable bed, with nice touches such as Keurig coffee, some food staples included. Hosts very communicative and responsive. Stay was over two separate weekends. Conveniently located near highway. One note - Was traveling with a mid-size plus small dog who are used to walking in addition to a fenced yard. Several large dogs are in the neighborhood with one loose that came onto property when we were out walking."

"Everything was perfect about this stay. A lovely and clean apartment! My flight got in very late so no time for grocery shopping. "Gorgeous place right in the heart of downtown Holly. The view overlooking Battle Alley is great. The hosts are extremely responsive, friendly, helpful, and thought of all of the extras to make the stay more enjoyable. Modern amenities throughout. We were in town for a wedding at Venue 111 and it’s less than 1/2 mile away. So convienent."

And the description is spot-on: if you need a place to sleep and work in Ferndale when you aren’t hitting the hipster bar scene or catching the latest and greatest happenings in Detroit, you couldn’t do better. "When I was making plans to travel, I found Adventure Acres. Normally when I travel I stay at a hotel/ motel, and fuss about noise (kids screaming running down the hallways, parties, arguments, etc. ) when I’m trying to sleep. I found Adventure Acres and reviews saying it was quite. I stayed a week in Suite B5, and agree it was quiet and pleasantly spacious. I had a couple concerns and addressed them to management immediately and was satisfied with their response. I look forward to staying again."

"Exceptionally gracious host with ultra fast communication. The house was quiet despite being on a busy road. Only challenge was the heating system - confirm with owner that it's been dealt with before renting in cold weather. The downstairs was very cold and the upstairs extremely hot. Perhaps it was just an adjustment we missed or one that they can make. We would happily consider staying in the property again. It's really nice having a wonderful host to work with!"

We loved all the indoor and outdoor amenities and activities available during our stay, it was enough to keep three boys (8-13) busy both during rain and outdoor activities. We all loved taking the kayaks out on the lake to explore. Beautiful place to stay!"
