great time!

My 8 year old daughter attended camp and loved all the animals. I went to the Urban Hearth co-working space in Columbia Falls while she was at camp. Fun to stay in an RV!

Family vacation

The property was quiet, it gave you a sense of glamping, with out the headache of having to set it up or take it down. Julie was great at solving any issues in a timely manner. The kids had fun and were able to be kids and not have to worry about disturbing other people. We enjoyed seeing all the animals. I highly recommend this for any family vacation. Its in a great location and only a few minute driver to many place. Would definitely book again next time we plan a trip to Montana.

Stunning!

The location and property was absolutely stunning! My daughters and I adored how quaint the guesthouse was. Other than the loft window that wouldn't close all the way and let a litte too much noise in early morning, it was incredible! We even got to hold a baby goat.

I really appreciate a clean place to sleep at night and this stay exceeded my expectations! It felt like we were in a new RV. We used this stay as a quick place to lay our heads before flying out the next morning but it would have been fun to explore the farm a little more and look at the animals. The farm is very well-kept!

Beautiful location

This was a very beautiful, scenic, and relaxing environment. The kids loved the animals and the adults loves the sunsets. It’s also a quick and easy drive to Glacier (15 mins). If more than a couple people shower you have to drain the tub from the outside which was easy but it would have been helpful to know that how to information ahead of time but the host was easy to contact with questions. Also, there are no kitchen towels so if you are going to use the dishes or just for hand washing may want to bring one.

Loved the farm

We all loved the farm and animals. All the animals were very friendly and at arrival Megan gave us a tour to meet the barn animals. We had cats greet us every morning and evening which my grandson LOVED. We spent most of our time at Glacier which was only 30 minutes away so this location made a great home base!! A few things in the trailer were not operational and the bottom bunk was not comfortable for adult sleeping but we made it work with the dinette and couch beds. We did not expect to have to shower in the barn but it worked 😊. Trailer was not ready at check in time but we had a later arrival so that worked out as well. Overall it was just what we needed for a short stay. Since we flew in we were happy to leave our leftover food for the pigs instead of throwing it away. Thank you!!

Pooh

The second day there the toilet in the RV stopped flushing, notified owner and she said she would "look at it" well...she might have looked at it while we were out but, she didn't fix it. If not for the bathroom we were able to use in the office, we probably would have left and disputed the charges. We were not given a key to the RV so we couldn't lock the door while we were gone. Management of this property is overall poor and I would not recommend it.

Beautiful place to recharge

Firefly Ranch was a fun addition to our amazing family vacation. We hit 3 national parks while on our trip and did a lot of hiking and biking. The ranch was a great place to relax in between. It was actually my daughters favorite part of the whole trip. It is a great location for visiting Glacier National Park as the ranch is only about 30 minutes from the West Gate entrance. The animals were so friendly, especially the cats and dogs. If we were able to stay longer, we would have loved to do some horseback riding or goat yoga! The only real drawback was that the bath house was out of order while we were there. And the RV that we stayed in ran out of water before we left, even though we didn't shower or even use the toilet but a few times in the RV. There was a shower in the barn, which was nice, but it was the only shower and there were several guest staying on the property. It made showering after long hikes a little tricky. Not impossible though and there were 3 toilets available. The views from the ranch are beautiful, especially at sunrise, and everyone was very friendly. There was also a washer and dryer available, which was a nice surprise. My daughter has even decided when she grows up, she's moving to Montana to have a ranch just like this one. 🙂

The Great Outdoors and Gateway to Glacier

While on our family vacation, we were looking for a place to stay that was close to Glacier National Park as well as the Amtrak station in Whitefish for when we left to go back to St. Paul. The ranch was absolutely perfect! We are a family of 5 with kids of 24, 22 and 18 years old. The trailer was very clean, roomy for the 5 of us, and well suited our needs as a "base-camp" as our plan was to spend 2 full days in Glacier (only 25 easy minutes to the entrance). Julie and her staff were wonderful hosts and easily accessible for any questions we had. We also discovered the many different animals who were staying very close by. As a cat family, we loved being greeted by the resident cats each morning and evening when we returned from our day. The staff let us hold the baby Chinchilla, and it was fun to interact with the other animals including baby goats, pigs, ponies, horses, and a peacock. When our stay was over, we were just 25 minutes from the Amtrak Depot in Whitefish to catch our train home. Thank you, Julie and staff, for our wonderful stay at your ranch! Your search ends here...PERFECT!!!

- Finding the place was easy. Using Apple Maps or Google Maps on your phone will get you there without a hiccup. - As soon as you drive onto the property you'll see the horses and goats, which was a wonderful welcome. - Julie (the owner) already had everything ready for us, we didn't really need to "check in", but I'm sure glad I stopped by to do so. In chatting with her, I quickly learned a lot. She has an energy that is one-of-a-kind, it's very calming and makes you feel safe...you'd just have to chat with her to understand. What she does as a job isn't described by her as a job, but instead a passion. You'll quickly learn that she changes lives...she saves lives...and it is without a doubt exactly what she was meant to do. We were very lucky during our stay, there were some adorable baby goats running around and they loved being held...so much so, they'd fall asleep in your arms. Do you need more activity? There's a dog that will fetch a ball until you can't throw it anymore. There are chickens that like some petting too, but you need to sit down and be calm...they'll let you pet them if you don't chase after them. The sheep want to sniff you and get some scratches too...but good luck with that, their coats are so thick! They'll take whatever they can get, they just want love too. There was a barn with three new kittens. It also had rabbits and chinchillas. They're a little tricky to catch, but once you have them in your lap, they love the attention and didn't try to run off or bite you. There are peacocks and pigs and of course the horses. It's a small zoo, and everyone in it loves attention! It's wonderful. - We chose the camper as our sleeping quarters and it was perfect, we love it! Everything about the camper was clean and serviceable. The firepit and gas grill outside both got used and were great. - Some folks always find something to complain about. If you're picky, you might want to find a 5-star hotel that caters to all that. If you want a good place to stay, knowing you have an excellent host, and you like the farm life and campers, this will be above and beyond what you're looking for. I'd stay there over and over again. - Thanks, Jullie!!!
