Farmhouse Cottage Near Monument And Air Force Academy

Let our Farmhouse Cottage be your home away from home while you enjoy all that Colorado has to offer. Our fully restored cottage is nestled among 11 acres of towering pine trees. We love that our home is situated just minutes from historic downtown Monument and the Air Force Academy yet feels away from it all.

Outdoors: Wrap-around porches and dining patios surround the home. A gas grill is provided. Perhaps you will enjoy a round of golf at nearby King's Deer Golf Club or take a walk through the trees on the property.

Inside: 105 Cottage, built in 1929, was fully restored in 2015. Original hardwood floors and shiplap walls were uncovered and restored in true fixer-upper style during the process.

Great room: sleeps (2)
This bright room features soaring ceilings and the original rock fireplace. There is plenty of room to relax, watch television or play games at the farmhouse table. A queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress sleeps 2.

Kitchen and Dining:
Located just off the great room is the newly constructed kitchen. Granite counter tops, KitchenAid stainless appliances and a farmhouse sink make it easy to prepare a meal even on vacation! Basic spices and oils are provided for your convenience. There is plenty of seating at the large island and adjacent open concept dining room.

Master Suite: King (Sleeps 2)
This comfortable room with a view of the trees has a King Size bed. The attached master bath with dual sinks and an over-sized subway tile shower with relaxing rain-head is accessed through sliding barn-doors.

Guest Suite: Queen (Sleeps 2)
Queen sized-bed, shiplap walls with attached bath.

Upstairs Guest Room: Queen (Sleeps 2)
A queen bed makes this treehouse retreat tucked under the eaves appealing to adults and children alike!

Powder Room and Shower Room:
Easily accessible for the upstairs guest room. The "shower room" as we call it, holds the homes original cast iron soaking tub/ and new shower combination.

Main level laundry contains an LG front load washer and dryer.

Such a beautiful property! We stayed here for a week and every day was magical. The kitchen is very well equipped and the setting is perfect for a quiet getaway with friends and family. Close enough to cute towns and shops so you don't feel isolated, yet the forest around the property is so peaceful

We had a great time. The house is amazing and could serve as a vacation on its own. We had a packed schedule and my only regret is we didn’t get to spend as much time just hanging out at the house, but was a short trip. Absolutely perfect location for guests coming to the new Ford Amphitheater from Denver airport

We had such a nice family vacation in the Colorado Springs area. This lovely updated farmhouse had everything that we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable time together. Our family includes children and teens and there was something that everyone enjoyed doing right here on the property. Would definitely stay again if we ever come back to Colorado!

We stayed for one week in Monument at this gem. Honestly, this is the best vacation home we have ever rented. Both Leslie and Troy were wonderful to work with. It is an escape, but fairly close to many of the mountain attractions .My family and I had a relaxing and pampered feeling staying on this beautiful property .

Accommodating from check in to check out. This home and property is everything advertised and so much more. Everything you can think of, they thought of, and even things you didnt. A model house that feels like home. My family's new favorite place to stay! The home is well cared for by the Coats, and it shows from top to bottom. I cant say enough good things. If you are thinking about staying in Monument or Colorado Springs, you will not be disappointed.

This delightful, charming cottage was such a great place for my family to stay during our vacation! It was so clean and all of the homey touches were just outstanding (the towels were so fluffy!!). It was off the main road a bit so it was quiet and there were no nearby neighbors so it felt very private, too. The location in Monument was a great location - close to everything we wanted to do but far enough away to feel like a real getaway. It was great to come "home" after a day of excitement and just relax by watching a movie or hanging out. I can't really say enough about how wonderful this cottage is!!

This was our second summer stay at the Farmhouse Cottage. We visited last year, and we came back again for a week this year. It is a great house and property. Not your typical track home on a small lot! We really enjoyed our stay. The house is just as advertised. A real treasure in the pines. If we don't end up moving back to Colorado in the spring, we will see about making a return trip in 2024. Thanks!

This amazing home is beautiful inside and out. It's our favorite of all the homes we have vacationed in. We love the serene setting amongst tall pine trees, how thoughtfully and beautifully appointed every space in the house is, and the joy it emanates. This VRBO home was beyond words for me! What a charming and beautiful place it was! Everything about this spotless cottage was perfect, from the size of it, to its tasteful farmhouse decor. The thoughtful attention to detail and design was both practical AND awe-inspiring... We couldn't have been more comfortable or cozy (my husband and grown kids share these sentiments.) Our daily mornings on the front porch and the back patio were a favorite reprieve from the Texas heat that we escaped. Getting to meet the Coats family made it no surprise as to why this property is so precious... It truly matches their sweet spirits and gracious hearts for hospitality. We were so glad we planned our vacation to include "stay put" days in between our local outdoor adventures. We returned home feeling both rested and so blessed for finding this property, and if it remains available for visiting, my family and I will return!
