"We loved this place!! Our favorite spot was the front porch-beautiful sunsets! Host was very prompt with communication. House had everything we needed for a long weekend with Friends. Terrific Mexican restaurant just up the street!!"

"It was certainly a delightful experience staying at this beach house. As other renters commented, the house was very well maintained and immaculate. The beautiful bright colors throughout the home added to our excitement. The house was well organized with very helpful labeling along with instructions regarding use of the property.The proximity of this home being only 2 blocks from the beach was perfect for our time at the beach and for attending the Colonial Beach crab seafood festival. The yellow wagon provided by the owner Diana was very helpful in transporting our items to the festival. It is clear that the owner Diana takes a lot of pride in her home and wants to make it as comfortable as possible for the guests. Thank you Diana for sharing your beautiful home with us and for making it such a memorable experience! We highly recommend this home for interested renters and look forward to another stay if we're in the area again!"

Adorable Cottage: Fire Pit, Walk to Colonial Beach

"This is indeed an adorable cottage within a short walk to both the river beaches and the sound, as well as a short walk to shops and restaurants. The house was spotless when we arrived and had everything that we needed to be comfortable. The living area is very spacious and the bedrooms roomy. The three full bathrooms were a huge bonus since this was a friends vacation of five women. The outdoor space is amazing, with a huge deck, a lot of seating, and a fire pit with plenty of available wood. We took advantage of the local restaurants, visited multiple antique stores, and enjoyed wine tasting at Ingleside Vineyard. We had a wonderful few days and would definitely go back."

"We’ve stayed at Sunnyside Up a few times. We love this little cottage! Close to everything, but quiet. Well equipped and clean. And I love the sense of history that has been maintained. Sitting on the front porch looking out over the water and watching the wildlife is the perfect respite."

"The house was very clean. The pool and hot tub were very nice. Rolland was very accommodating with any questions we had and even let us check in a little early to decorate for my daughter's birthday. It was the perfect location for a girls weekend getaway."
