"Booked my room for the spring swap meet at the fairgrounds. Got a call around 4pm telling me they had overbooked and would we be willing to take a room with only one bed. When i said no they wanted to move me to really run down motel in town. "

I also believe I got charged twice for this room! By hotel.com and Appalachian hotel. I will be looking in to getting my money refunded. Breakfast was very poor ...juice machine broke..food gone by 8:00 "

"It smelled bad and was dirty; there was a lot of trash in the back area around the pool, and old mattresses were left lying outside for breakfast, they only had waffles and bagels. The room was dirty and foul-smelling; the shower didn't work, and there was no TV remote. The doors to enter the building were open to public access. Everyone have access the building to the rooms "

"Overall my stay was perfect, the room was clean, the breakfast was excellent, free EV Charging for my electric vehicle and a professional staff. The only thing to be aware of is they will not let you check in early. Strict 3 pm check-in rule or an extra $40 fee to check-in early."
