"It was such a a surprise to find our backyard was a large garden! Philippe was an exceptional host! His hand drawn map of the local streets was much more useful than Google maps! Downstairs you find the bathroom+ separate toilet and a spacious kitchen equiped with everything a homecook needs. Upstairs are the rooms with garden views. "An interesting property in extensive grounds shared by the Llamas and one deer. Out granddaughter loved the animals and all the artworks and decorations in the house. It was convenient for Central Lyon with a very efficient bus , train and tram service available. Patrik and Veronique were very friendly and helpful ."

Elle pourrait l’être mais malheureusement l’entretien et la propreté ne semblent pas être la priorité des propriétaires : jardin à l’abandon, mauvais écoulement de la douche, cafetière Nespresso HS…Quel dommage dans un environnement résidentiel ! The villa is located about 15 minutes drive outside Lyon city center which was absolutely perfect as we were able to enjoy clean air and nature in a hilly countryside while still being close to everything Lyon has to offer. Would definitely stay here again and recommend without reservation! We also came during the summer heat wave and were happy to stay at Villa Castel which is on the hill and a few degrees cooler than the city, especially at night!!"

"Originally only booked for 1 month as we were relocating to France, however due to the Covid-19 outbreak ended up staying for 3 months, and could not have been in a better place. The accommodation, area and neighbours were great would highly recommend this as a place to stay and not to far from Lyon center."

"Gave us the top floor, climbing that spiral stairs was a work out! Besides that location was good, close to port, transportation and restaurant. Public parking expensive if you have car. I would stay here again, but only if I get a first floor room."
