Where the sea meets history and nature

The apartment enjoys a privileged location in the heart of Sword Beach, one of the five D-Day landing beaches of 6 June 1944. This was where British forces landed alongside the French Commandos led by Commander Philippe Kieffer. Today, numerous memorials and museums preserve the remarkable history of this iconic coastline.

Within a few minutes' walk you will reach restaurants, cafés, local shops, the weekly market, the seafront promenade and the many attractions of the Côte de Nacre.

Right outside the residence runs La Vélomaritime, a superb coastal route leading to Ouistreham, its harbour, famous fish market and seafood restaurants, before continuing along the canal to Caen. Miles of safe cycling and walking paths also allow you to explore the D-Day beaches and Normandy's magnificent coastline. A self-service bicycle rental station is just a short walk away.

Just a few steps from the residence, the local sailing club offers private and group lessons as well as equipment rental, allowing you to enjoy the sea through sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, catamaran sailing and more.

After a day of sightseeing, a bike ride or an afternoon swim, there is nothing more relaxing than returning to the apartment and watching the sun slowly disappear below the horizon from your balcony.
